Our LaAmistad kids have been working hard doing their homework and reading this year to earn scholarships to Camp Highland. For $100, you can sponsor one of these kids and give them a great week during the summer. Make checks to Church of the Redeemer and write LaAmistad Highland Sponsorship in the memo line.
We are also looking for people who can receive employer matches to make a charitable contribution to LaAmistad Inc. This is the organization that helped our program get started and continues to support it and in return, we support them. Talk to Jimmy for more information about either of these opportunities.

Did you know that you can become an actual "member" of Church of the Redeemer? If you want to find out what that means, or if you simply want to find out more about the church, then plan to attend the next Inquirer's Seminar from Friday-Sunday, May 10-12. It's a 3-part seminar (you attend all three sessions) that we offer twice a year. Don't worry, whether you are new to COTR or have been around for a while, this is a "find out more" time, not an "arm twisting, cajoling, or pressure" time. RSVP to Amy or write "Inquirer's Seminar" on the tear-off slip on the back page of the worship guide and drop it in the offering basket. The schedule for weekend is as follows:
Friday, May 10, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Saturday, May 11, 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Sunday, May 12, 9:00 AM - 10:15 AM

On Saturday, May 18, from 5:00 - 8:00 PM drop off your kids in the Commons for some fun, games, and kid-friendly dinner, while you and yours enjoy a night out on the town. All this while supporting the Cherokee Missions Team. Suggested minimum donation of $25. Two birds one stone...don't miss out! Contact Mike for more information.

The 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month are reserved for the Lord's Supper. Every 5th Sunday our children return to the Sanctuary to participate with us during the Lord's Supper. We welcome you to bring your children up with you to the Communion rail. If your children have been interviewed and received to the Lord's Supper by the elders, just give a nod to the servers. If they have not, just indicate that with a shake of your head to the servers. If you would like to have your children receive the Lord's Supper in the future, email Jimmy or talk to any elder.

Pastor Ewan sends out weekly worship devotions to encourage Redeemer to meet with God in his Word and battle to seek him daily. If you would like to be included on the list of those that receive these devotions, contact Ewan. You can also find them on our website under Daily Devotions.

Our 2-3 year olds who come for School of Discipleship would love a teacher to care for and teach them every week at 9:00. We also eat a lot of goldfish for snack and would appreciate donations. You can bring them by on Sunday Morning or during the week. If you want to serve, but aren’t able to teach right now, we are also looking for people who want to help organize, maintain, and decorate our space downstairs. Let Jimmy know if you are interested in any of these opportunities!

What we ARE is a community of people looking for Jesus together. We are committed to worshiping God, loving each other well, serving and beautifying the city (primarily through commitments to mercy and to the arts) and communicating the liberating Gospel of God in Jesus....
