Community Groups are gatherings of 8 to 14 people. The primary goal of a Community Group is to experience God's presence and power as a group. The goal of a Community Group is is not "teaching" or "fellowship." While these are important, the primary aim of a Community Group is to experience God's presence and power.

This is a different purpose than a Bible Study group, where the goal may be to acquire Bible knowledge and apply it. Community Groups maintain a healthy balance of four elements: worship, Bible study, prayer, and sharing. Led by lay leaders who receive ongoing training and support, Community Groups are the primary place for pastoral care at Redeemer.
