Our Staff

Ewan Kennedy: Senior Pastor

Ewan Kennedy

Born and raised in Scotland, Ewan started out as a mechanical engineer in the design and management side of the construction industry before coming to the United States as an adult. Having grown up in a post-Christian country, he has a lot of empathy for skeptics and those who feel that the church is irrelevant.

With a background in counseling, Ewan has a deep desire to help others find and meet with God.

He is married to Heather and has three sons: Calvin, Cooper, and Canon.

Bob Brunson: Executive Pastor

Bob is originally from Gadsden, Alabama with a degree in communications from the University of Alabama and an MDiv from Reformed Theological Seminary. He has served on staff with Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship, been a small-town pastor in Mississippi and Alabama, an associate pastor at churches in Florida, Colorado, Georgia and Mississippi, and served 6 years as senior pastor of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Fort Myers, Florida.

In his spare time, Bob enjoys reading good books and playing bad golf.

Bob’s is married to Karen. They have 2 married children and two grandchildren.

Alex Woods: Youth Pastor

Alex grew up in Tampa and attended the University of Florida. He became a Christian at the age of 17, which is the reason for his passion to help students find and nurture a relationship with Christ. Since feeling the call to ministry during his second year of college, he has done everything he can to pursue it—including serving internships with five different churches and graduating from seminary.

Alex enjoys hanging out with friends, especially if it involves music or sports. You will also most likely find him playing the guitar or reading a good book (fiction and non-fiction!).

Alex is married to Shannon.

Jamie Turner: Redeemer’s Kids Education Director

Jamie grew up in the Atlanta area and graduated from Berry College with a degree in Art Education. After teaching elementary school art for seven years she became a stay-at-home mom. She’s been a member of Redeemer since 2009 and on staff as the children’s ministry director since 2017.

Jamie continues to pursue painting and drawing in her spare time, and loves to cook and entertain for her family and friends.

Jamie is married to Eric and has three children: Jack, Ben and Maggie.

Cory Sellers: Worship Director

Cory Sellers

Cory was born and raised in Auburn, Alabama where he grew up playing music in church. In addition to being our Worship Director, he’s a full-time financial planner and licensed CPA. As a young man, Cory took a break from the world of finance to try music full-time and even made it to Hollywood Week on American Idol.

Although he is a gifted performer, Cory’s real passion is to help others enter into worship and meet God.

He is married to Carrie and has three children: Nathan, Evelyn and Caleb.

Seya de Lastic: Office Manager

Seya De Lastic

Seya’s grandmother was so beloved by the Africans she served as a missionary that they gave her the name of a beloved African warrior princess. In her grandmother’s honor, Seya is named after that same princess. Although she initially intended to follow in her grandmother’s footsteps as a missionary in Africa, Seya instead put her servant heart to work in nursing for 25 years.

Upon retiring, Seya’s passion to help and serve has continued through church administration. She’s an organizational genius and a very proud grandmother.

Don McCook: Churchwarden

Don McCook

A Georgia native, Don spent thirty years in education as a teacher and administrator but always dreamed of retiring as Churchwarden. When he’s not fixing up and maintaining our property you can find him playing multiple instruments in Celtic bands around town. He even plays the bagpipes occasionally during worship.

Don has a special connection to Church of the Redeemer because his family used to own the property over 100 years ago!

Don is married to Katharine and they have a daughter Kaitlin.
