Gender Identity, Sexuality, and the Bible: How Do We Live, Love (& Raise Our Children) in this New and Rapidly Changing World?
Join with Pastor Ewan for this interactive 5 week class. While this class will have special application regarding loving, engaging with, and/or parenting children in upper elementary through high school, it’s not just a class for parents. As a church family called to be priests in this radically changing world, this is an important class for all of us! Please note: This is an Adults-only class.

Why So Many Choices?
Ever wonder why there are so many different churches? (Catholic, Lutheran, Presbyterian, Methodist, Baptist, etc.) Sometimes we mistakenly think this is the way things have always been and forget that there’s a rich history as to how these things came about. This semester, Refuge will look at an animated comedy series (yes, comedy) that explains what led to the Reformation and all the denominational differences that followed it. Join us as we seek to understand better our Christian brothers and sisters of other denominations and what makes Presbyterians unique.

Pilgrim’s Progress Experience
This fall our elementary students will follow along Christian’s adventure as he makes his way to the Celestial Kingdom in John Bunyan’s classic story Pilgrim’s Progress. Along the journey we will uncover what it really looks like to live as a Christian with up and downs, distractions and difficulties. We will be reading the book together and transforming what we have learned into a life size board game throughout the weeks. At the end, we will put all the pieces together and become the players in our own game. This is a fun and exciting way to illustrate to our children the necessity of God’s word and being a part of a community of believers. My hope is that they will come away from these lessons and activities with a deeper understanding of Christ and the gospel.
