It’s a pretty distasteful thing when you see it in people, right? And, it’s everywhere. Self-righteousness probably drives the majority of Social Media engagement. The struggle with self-righteousness is a common and pervasive struggle for all human beings – and it has been since the first moments of the Fall.
This week we begin a new series in the book of Galatians. In Galatians, God lays out the apocalyptic impact of the gospel, i.e. the impact and implications of the gospel are massive. The gospel changes everything!
As we begin our journey with Galatians 1:1-9, take some time to think through where your confidence comes from that you are “Okay,” or a “good person.” Also, take some time to read and reflect on the Galatians 1:1-9 and consider the serious implications if our righteousness is grounded in anything other than Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection.
I look forward to worshiping with you this Sunday.
Yours in Christ’s love,
